Male: I really felt this liberation in taking
time to go on a nice walk, stepping back from the day-to-day to think
about ‘What were we really doing and what were we building towards?’
Walking around in a neighborhood where someone like Steve
Jobs walked, was that inspiration to think big. Jay and I had some similar characteristics
in that we’re both interested in the business side of things.
When I first got in, I knew that Mechatronics Engineering was the
program for me. I started to become less energized about what
we were learning in our techno classes and more interested in
the business side of things, and how what we were learning could
be applied in a business sense. I started to act on those
interests and take some elective courses. That’s when I really
started to learn some of the business side of things. Jay very
much had a similar mindset. We actually had a small company that we ran
during University. It was a neat experiment for us, just to learn
that side of things. Announcer: AQ’s Blog & Grill.
