are the told salarys before or after taxes?
What's the average salary of a mangaka?
No Australia has better hrs and pay which is why you will see many Australians spending their money there (like us) 😅
In Sweden is the minimum wage 14.43 dollar, But we have way higher taxes here. And we have 25 days of paid leave.
It doesn't matter if you have less work hours and more national holiday if you still work during them.
The gender thing didn't surprise me which is actually sad.
In sweden we have 25 days paid leave plus paid leave on holidays like new year and stuff.
I think if you work in tech at one of the tech hubs in the US, the salaries there are much higher than in Japan.
Wait…are we talking salaries before or after tax?
Is that before or after tax?
Is japan salary better than yours?
Me: i live in venezuela 🙁
japan: working overtime is bad
America: we need more overtime
programmers don't get paid as much as you think
I don’t think this video is completely transparent and it is quite unbias. Yes pay in Tokyo is better but the living cost (rent, bills, healthcare) is significantly higher too. The minimum wage is decent but it makes up for the high cost of transport and grocery shopping in the country. On top of all of this, comparing the whole of Japan as 4% cheaper to live in to the whole of the USA is an unfair comparison due to major difference in size and population. This video doesn’t make too much literal sense.
Anyone else agree that this guy could make good asmr or am I the only one
Any salary is better than mine
Don't like the gender discrepancy..but do like teachers do well. In America, there is zero value on education..hence teachers making nothing..and kids being total crap
Japan I'm coming 😀
I think that I have to learn Japanese a get the hell out of my country.
The media are definitly inflating figures when it comes to the work culture in japan. Also, in my country, we have a whooping 26 days annual paid leave on top of the days off (public holidays) that we get.
Sure better than here in Italy!!!
the woman to man discrepancy is understandable everywhere cause men are more in job force and have most high paying job. and women don't negotiate with job salary
I made only about $15000 annually as a senior executive & we have minimum wage of about $265 per month… life is though
Could you follow a plumber for a day? Since japan plumbing differs from the rest of the world
How much do you pay in taxes in japan?
Philippines daily minimum wage is $10
Have you ever heard that wives took away all salary and husbands only given pocket money in Japan?Things just doesn’t look like everything as we see it 🙂
Minimum wage in use its 15 usd an hour as 2019
Sweden has 5 weeks of Anual paid leave per year but at some jobs you have to work 1 year first before getting those benefits but its all individual!
minimum wage here is belok 300 usd. if you're a part timer or an intern probably only 120 USD. and the goverment still steal like 12,5% for taxes
Lol! Maiko better get a luxurious gift this year.
Day in a life of a sumo wrestler please
Oh, I'm definitely moving there. Average salary over here is around $2000 for professionals with degrees. Wtf
And here i am getting paid for about $230 a month
Please do a "Day in the life of a college student in Japan" 😁😁
As a Swede Japan is cheaper and I compare it to one of Sweden's cheaper cities.
A tips for people who are planing to move to Japan and work in Tokyo, live in Saitama, the prefecture just north of Tokyo. Living condition is much cheaper there and if you get lucky or plan it smart you can live quite close to Tokyo city so the commute wont be that bad.
Excuse me, but the numbers you gave about the wage gap are pretty misleading. Men are more likely to become train drivers and car mechanics… etc. Which are, coincidently, one of the highest paying jobs according to your list.If you wanna make that comparison, you have to give us the wage gaps related to each profession.
ANNUAL Pay =/= HOURLY Wage ! The annual pay only tells us that Men work A LOT more than Women, in Japan. Otherwise a really nice video, love the insights. A comparison to living expenses and wages in regions, would be very helpful too.
Even if, I wouldn't want to live there. Society there is fucked up.
Certainly much better than ~800 monthly before tax in Argentina
Id love to move to japan but damn im not smart enough to learn the language
Japan salary as a system engineer seems pretty close to the salary of a junior engineer in Belgium. Taxes are probably lower in Japan though.
You are one ugly man
Hello from Serbia. 🙂 I live in small town in Serbia. I earn cca. 650 USD/Month (around 8000 usd/year), and, I must add that it is pretty good salary in Serbia. But….Renting an apartment that has cca. 50 square meters, cots roughly 150 usd/month (again, depends on location), typical monthly bills that include electricity, heating, phone, internet – cca. 140 usd/month, fast food meals, around 2 usd for a pretty good sandwich, etc…..
I'm surprised how low the average programmer salary was … Even given that is an average it still seems on the low side and most of the people in my country who are in that sort of role would be on more than that, some significantly so … Hell I am too and I took a salary cut moving to my current job to allow for picking up new skill will allow me to move to an even higher paying job in a couple of years
The information about salaries doesn't have value without any numbers about inflation within Japan. I'm pretty sure Japan is incredibly expensive, especially Tokyo?
My annual is roughly around $10,629.82. Living in a small province in the Philippines. I don't know what to feel LOL
A car mechanic makes more money than a programmer? huh?
I love Japan, but the gender pay gap is disgusting. In fact the way they treat women in general is shameful.
It all really depends on where you're from on how you compare or think about salary, holiday etc. In another country 🤔
