How do we take a modern population, a modern democracy, apply civic tech solutions, interchange these new entrepreneurs with
these communities to find solutions that quite honestly if I’m a resident in a
community I want to engage as a democratic
citizen as easily as I shop on Amazon the great solutions that are out there
are in the minds of our entire community not just those people employed by city government so a lot of our work is to figure out new ways to build bridges with the Civic tech community and get the Civic tech community to help us solve the problems that people are facing every day. We believe that this
network, this community that we’re developing now has huge potential to uplift the innovation and the improvements in
leveraging technology in information across the whole Commonwealth. I think the best way for government to work better with Code for Boston and for any group like ours is just to come out to play. You know we need you guys to come out and be with us in our community. The creativity, the passion that everybody brings to the table just gives us an opportunity to do much
bigger things. Civic tech and economic development are a very interesting marriage because in among all of the all the bricks and mortar are people.
