QOTD ⚡ What camera are you shooting with right now? Are you planning on upgrading this year? Let me know! 👇🏼 *** Looking for the perfect camera for YouTube? Watch my full review of best cameras of 2019 (so far) here ➡️ https://youtu.be/jrJ0P2jeJZk
It just depends on what I'm shooting. iPhone for on the spot stuff set to 1080p/60fps. Handheld and monopod for B-roll is a Panasonic Camcorder that also shoots 1080p/60fps. The thing I really like about this camera is that it has 40x optical zoom and EIS. On the desktop a logitech usb camera along with a Yeti usb mic.I'm currently creating ads for clients that are used on YouTube and Facebook pages. Looking to expand into the vlog area once I retire and travel. Gathering equipment now. Looking to possibly get a Yi Lite and or GoPro 7 Black.
Canon M50…no plans to upgrade it, other than a lens…
I started with a Canon 70d, but just recently purchased an M50 because i want something lighter to work with….and after watching your videos on it. I can't wait to start shooting with it!
I am using my smartphone for creating videos.
Thank you sooooo much!! Thanks to you, I'm looking into the Canon M50. Also, love your show notes.. they are so helpful!!
Thanks for being so raw! 😆
I just upgraded to an 80D and Just purchased the Softboxes.
Bying a M50 next week!
Imgonna buy the m50 now amazon got it more expensive then ebay do you have a ebay affiliate link id rather you guys make money off it
Great video dude. What do you think about the panasonic gh5 compare to sony a7iii? You said b4 that ppl needed to make 4k videos to be ranked on ytube so the m50 wouldnt it be not enough?
Good camera really made me enjoy my content more.
Think Media is a life saver!
Your love streaming setup looks and sounds awesome! One question: how do you get the video cropped in on your face like that??? I had that same webcam, and my videos are super wide, with me as a tiny part of the shot.
I use the Nikon D5309 and my Samsung Note 8. I use a Blue Yeti Pro and a Boya BY-M1 as well as the Takstar mic. I've done videos on all of that stuff.
I got the Panasonic g7 at first sent it back, not intuitive and just couldn't get good shots as a beginner. Had the canon g7 point and shoot which I loved so went with the m50 loved it from day one now learning more thanks to you and other YouTubers so I can take my video game up a notch. Also got the Vasar smartphone mount from your video was hesitant to try the Mefoto one since I don't like to take my phone out of the case all the time and it looked like it might not hold it. Saw it in another video so gonna try it and see. Thanks for all the value you provide.
Nicely presented – I’ve got VLA all I need now is CContent
Looking for some help… I have a canon sl2, and a rode go mic, I also use a htc-100 hdmi cable to use a monitor and have a horrible hiss/hum from the hdmi cable. How do I get rid of it? It’s not from the mic.
I am using the canon200d because it's a great beginner camera and I also it has many features and the auto focus is amazing
Would love to see in more details about your home setup and how you have the cameras position. I'm about to do that shortly.
Looking to upgrade from a Logitech webcam to the Canon 80D. I already have a MEVO as well.
Great video! Love this channel!
6:25 of course
After I see YouTube sponsored VLOG, I got 3 RED, 5 ARRI, 8 DSLR, LED and YouTube conference in Hawaii. I paid cash, so no bill. When I comeback, Google has demonetized my YouTube and I can't sit still
As a newbie youtuber, I am finding your channel useful. However, I noticed the tripod advertised here is for iphone only. Any recommendations for an Android Samsung Galaxy A8?
As for the mic– do you have a recommendation for one that does not force us to be tied to the phone– something wireless to allow freedom of movement. I shoot cooking videos at times and would need freedom to move around and one levalier mic that attaches us to the phones would be too restrictive.
This guy deserves 5 million subs bro
Hello Sean thank you for the videos you put out there for us beginners. I am totally new at this and I have a heart to do puppet videos and am equipped with a Sony HDR_CX110 Handycam 3.1 mega pixels which I have had for years. I will get started with this camera. My question is about an external mic. I do not see a place to have one and I have purchased a mic MK4 from Sennheiser, and a cubase AI UR22mkII as an interface for the sound. I will use my imovie program to get started. I said all of that to ask you how I could sign up for your master class. I am interested in how it works. Can you send me the link for this Thank you….Oh I am also wondering about the lighting. So far I have done this in a room well lit and it seams to be working. It may sound like I have it all together but I am totally in the learning stage of all of this So any help will be appreciated. Believe me I am really overwhelmed but determined to do this… All of this is because of my grandkids. Long story but they are my inspiration . Any help on the best way to proceed will be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your response Ruth
You either got it or you don't. I am surprised there are actual seminars that people will pay to go to! Kind of sad.
Hi there! Started recently my channel and I'm now upgrading from phone camera to Canon EOS M50 with a couple of your suggestions. Just unsure about SD cards, there are so many! Ultra or Extreme Pro? Or there's no really a big difference? Thanks for all your help 🙂
Re: QOTD: Im just using my Samsung Galaxy S7 and free apps. Definitely want to upgrade to the next level. M50 has been on my list for a while and a friend recently suggested the Panasonic Lumix100 as a good starter camera.
I currently use the Canon EOS SL2. Is there a reason why you speak so highly of the m50 and rarely mention the sl2?
I'm using the canon rebel EOS t5. I rent it out from my university. I definitely need to upgrade when I get bigger
How about budget 4k camera?
recording on my galaxy phone but need to figure out something to improve my audio without spending too much
I have the Go Pro hero 7 Black, Hero 7 White, and Go Pro Fusion. For my vlogs, these tools are more than enough. I really don't think I need to upgrade for what I do
Great Information bro thank you, i'am asking what kind of software you are using for the presentation it's cool!
Looking to create a startup up kit. Right now I'm researching cameras. Thank you for the work you do!
This is seriously "pro" level !!! Thank you for all the insights.
Great job, success. -best, -hg

What do you recommend for editing software?
Does this mic only work for iPhone
What was this taken from?
I have been looking for a camera to upgrade my channel and I am going to get M50 and I have been saving up, thanks for your review. Ready to upgrade from my Fujifilm XP 120™ Underwater Point and Shoot Camera, 👍1.9K
Been shooting great videos with my cell phone but phone is old and battery life is deteriorating, so I am deciding between an expensive new phone or camera. Will get a kit either way. THANK YOU
I'm a new youtuber thanks for the information😄
what about cannon 70 d ?
This is all about selling – nothing more nothing less!
Just getting started looking at the sl2
Dude thank you! This is really needed for me! I am currently vlogging with the phone! This wil really help me to grow! Beast!
Your videos are always so helpful. My channel is still small, but not for long. I’m using a Canon SL2 with rode mic pro+ with natural window lighting.
Will you review the Nikon Z film makers kit?
What camera am I using right now: $70 burner phone…
Canon 80D 18-55mm lens.
Wow, that ad at 6 minutes was really annoying – first that ringing noise was really loud and I about jumped out of my seat, then you wanted likes? Your info is super helpful, but that was annoying enough to make me leave. Not that my one little complaint will affect your bottom line, but odds are I'm not the first and only person to feel this way – for what it's worth. And I'm going to look for a shorter video on camera equipment from here…at 6:34 of your video.
Hey Think Media,I have a Canon 60D and am on the brink of launching YouTube channel. However my maximum time of recording in video format is about 12 minutes. Is this normal for this camera? (It just says the recording automatically stopped)Thanks!
Do you have any suggestions for those of us videoing without other people – I am really struggling with only one of me, and keen to get something so that I can set up a tripod and camera, but adjust it remotely, rather than getting up and down, up and down 🙂
Sean, I have a Canon Vixia HF R800 and just bought a Canon M10. Which is best?
Is there an external microphone for an S9+ that works? Thanks.
You can get the camera even cheaper if you go in store and haggle. Helps if you go to a couple stores too so you can make them compete for the sale. Plus you get Canon warranty for your country.
Mentioned this under another video but I'd love to see a comparison review from you of the 32 MM f.1.4 vs the 22 MM f.2. I've seen your review of the 22mm but would like to see a review of the 32 mm and what you think about the two for vlogs. Thanks!
This is sooo helpful!! I appreciate this
I'm currently using an iPhone XR, with an external mic. It's not the greatest, but good to start. Shoots 1080p
Always smashing that LIKE video! God bless you Sean!
Hi Sean. Thanks so much. QUESTION: for speakers to get recordings like this of their presentations – what would you recommend as the best low cost DIY setup?
I was watching until the portrait mode.
Acronyms repetition and obviois public speaking/marketing tactics, mannerisms, phrasing etc. make anything seem culty.
Hey, so we've just been filming on my iPhone 6 from the beginning & it's gotten the job done, but we're actually attending an event in September that I'd like to have something a little more official for. I'm working on paying off some debt, so I don't feel comfortable buying a brand new camera just yet, so I put a lavalier mic and iPhone tripod into my cart on Amazon so I can purchase them before the month is up!
Great content Sean keep up the great work this is exactly what I needed!
really great vid! i'm borrowing a Canon EOS 1200D however I do need a tripod and microphone to complete the set up.
Perfect video for what I'm looking for right now. Thanks Sean, helpful as always!
Your excellent information and recommendation of the Cannon M5 makes anyone's endeavor feasible.
I Phone 7 and i Movie with a audio tech mic. I want to up grade Canon M50 feel right for my budget. Should i up grade my iMac software?
We are a new YouTube channel. Thanks for the great tips 👍🏻
I am so happy to have this info!! Ty❤️
Im currently discovering the canon eos m50:)
Getting started on vlogging – found this to be a very helpful video. Thank you Sean!
I'm currently using an Olympus Tough camera. It does 1080p so not too bad, but not alot of options I can set.
Hey thank you for the info. very helpful
For spectacular audio check out glenn fricker, Spectre sound studios
I use laptop camera for videos
I can not tolerate vertical "portrait" videos when not necessary. I feel like a horse with blinders.
I can see why you are so successful on YouTube. Best informative video I have seen on this topic. Very comprehensive. Just what I was looking for. Great job.
Actually I think this is a better kit. The camera and mic alone you posted was $699. This kit includes a ton of stuff on Amazon with the exact same camera for $650 free shipping. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07CSHFNVC/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Those round clip on lights are 4 bucks at Wal-Mart
Hi Sean, I have a challenge. I need to be able to record good quality video. My subject is my CEO who also loves walking up and down. To note, I will have a room full of people so cannot be recording in his face. In the past we have used a cellphone with a bluetooth Mic called HeyMic that works with an app on the cellphone. This is the only bluetooth mic I am aware of currently in the world that sits on your lapel. So I need: Good quality video, wireless microphone, instant upload to youtube, sound and video must be synced already and there should be no need for editing the video. What is your recommendation?
woow, looks good
ironically this video has terrible audio and video
Any new YT interested in growing together…?😉🙏🏻
Nice presentation, thanks for uploading! Great tips, again interesting concept with smartphone shooting.Great tips on audio as well – will have to apply. Thanks for your help!
THANK YOU so much for making this video! I feel like there’s so much pressure to buy a £2k camera and this shows that you can do it without spending ££££ 🙌🏽
Audio quality for most of this core video and the set-ups is pretty awful. Crackles, echos, not nice at all.
how can I put together a setup but with a cheaper camera? I spent the last two days reading on DJI osmo pocket and go pro hero 7-8. they seem to have nice qualities but I Don't think they're at all designed for indoor shooting. any suggestions?
Smash, Crush, content, crisp! For some reason these words are becoming annoying to me because I feel like every YouTuber is using them Non-Stop
Dose anyone use camcorders. I love my Sony handycam
